The Wilshire Vista Neighborhood Wilshire Vista Neighborhood Association
was created in 1993. The term "Neighborhood Association" was used rather than "Home Owners Association" because Wilshire Vista includes both homeowners and renters of approximately 1,500 households with
4,000 residents living in single family residences, duplexes and mid-sized multi-family apartment buildings.
We're very proud
of our community and the active role that our residents take in making it a safe, friendly and attractive place to live. The Wilshire Vista Neighborhood Association represents the needs and interests

Background The Wilshire Vista Neighborhood Association was formed by a group of
residents in 1993 with the goal of increasing the area's collective sense of community and addressing key issues that affect our quality of life. These include ensuring safety and security, beautifying
our streets and empowering residents in their relationships with local government, the police, and the local business community. The Wilshire Vista Name The name "Wilshire
Vista" was derived from the original land tract development title which historical documents show dating from 1921 (see Wilshire Vista Neighborhood History). The Wilshire Vista logo design used in our signs, which can be seen posted at various
points along the neighborhoods boundaries, was derived from artwork that appeared in the developer's original newspaper ads. Wilshire Vista News
